Cookies & browser storage.
No ad-tech circus. Here is what the BassLab site currently stores in your browser.
Essential storage
The site may use session storage/cookies required for secure logged-in Station Manager sessions and core security. These are necessary for the service to work.
Optional analytics storage
If you choose “Allow analytics”, BassLab stores a random basslab_sid identifier in local browser storage and sends first-party page-view/heartbeat events to BassLab. This helps us count visits and active website users. It is not used for third-party advertising.
Your choice
If you choose “Essential only”, optional website analytics does not start. Your privacy choice itself is stored locally so we do not ask you on every page.
Functional anti-abuse data
Chart voting uses a server-side one-way hash to reduce duplicate votes. This is not an advertising cookie and is used to operate the voting feature.
Changing your choice
You can clear BassLab site data in your browser to make the privacy choice appear again. A dedicated preferences control can be added later if our tracking setup becomes more complex.
