Privacy without the waffle.
What BassLab collects, why we need it, and what happens to it.
Who we are
BassLab Radio is an independent online radio station. Privacy enquiries can be sent to studio@basslabradio.co.uk.
Information you give us
If you message the studio, request a track, join the mailing list, apply to join BassLab, submit music or submit an event, we store the information you enter so we can provide or review that service. This can include your name, email address, social/profile links, message, application details and submitted music or event information.
Website analytics
Optional first-party analytics record page views and active website sessions so we can understand how BassLab is being used. Analytics only starts after you choose “Allow analytics”. We use a randomly generated browser identifier; it is not an advertising profile and we do not sell analytics data.
Chart voting
To reduce repeat voting, BassLab creates a one-way technical hash from connection/browser information. The hash is stored with the vote; it is used to enforce one active vote per track and is not displayed publicly.
How we use information
We use submitted information to operate the station, respond to enquiries, process applications/submissions, deliver requested mailing-list updates, moderate listener interaction, calculate chart activity and understand website performance.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by the hosting, email or technical providers required to operate BassLab. We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, station records, security or legal obligations. Studio operational records may be archived or deleted while anonymous aggregate analytics are retained.
Your choices and rights
You can decline optional site analytics. You can also ask about, correct or request deletion of personal information BassLab holds about you, subject to any information we need to retain for legal or legitimate operational reasons. Contact studio@basslabradio.co.uk.
Updates
This policy may change as BassLab adds services or providers. The version published here is the current website policy.
